Planning on selling? Effective August 4th, 2008, the City of Duluth I&I requires when a property goes on the market or 30 days before closing that the seller have the homes sewer house trap be inspected for 'noncontributing'.
Call 730-4130 to schedule an inspection. (This inspection is done for free)
What if my system is contributing? 90 days will be allowed after closing for repairs to be completed. Those repairs will be at the the seller's or buyers expense. (No City funds will be provided for homes selling, even if your house is in a 'targeted basin'. If the repairs are not completed a $250/month surchage will be added to the utility bill.
BEV'S ADVICE: If you currently have a home in the targeted basin... Have your home inspected prior to 8/4/2008 and prior to putting your home up for sale!
